چکیده

In this paper we present a study of the cosmic flow from the point of view of how clusterings at different dynamical regimes in an expanding universe evolve according to a ‘coarse-grained’ partitioning of their ranked energy distribution. By analysing a ΛCDM cosmological simulation from the Virgo Project, we find that cosmic flows evolve in an orderly sense, when tracked from their coarse-grained energy cells, even when nonlinearities are already developed. We show that it is possible to characterize scaling laws for the Pairwise Velocity Distribution in terms of the energy cells, generally valid at the linear and nonlinear clustering regimes.

The applicability of the highly idealized secondary infall model to 'realistic' initial conditions is investigated. The collapse of proto-halos seeded by 3σ density perturbations to an Einstein–de Sitter universe is studied here for a variety of scale-free power spectra with spectral indices ranging from n = 1 to −2. Initial conditions are set by the constrained realization algorithm and the dy...

Bulk viscous string cosmological models in Saez – Ballester theory of gravitation

Spatially homogeneous Bianchi type-II, VIII and IX anisotropic, as well as isotropic cosmological models can be obtained in a scalar tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (1986) when the source for energy momentum tensor is a bulk viscous fluid containing one-dimensional cosmic strings. All the models obtained and presented here are expanding, non-rotating and accelerating...

Gravitational Mesoscopic Constraints in Cosmological Dark Matter Halos

We present an analysis of the behaviour of the ‘coarse-grained’ (‘mesoscopic’) rank partitioning of the mean energy of collections of particles composing virialized dark matter halos in a Λ-CDM cosmological simulation. We find evidence that rank preservation depends on halo mass, in the sense that more massive halos show more rank preservation than less massive ones. We find that the most massi...

Bulk Viscous Bianchi Type VI0 Cosmological Model in the Self-creation Theory of Gravitation and in the General Theory of Relativity

In the second self-creation theory of gravitation and in the general theory of relativity, Bianchi type VI0 cosmological model in the presence of viscous fluid is studied. An exact solution of the field equations is given by considering the cosmological model yields a constant decelerations parameter q=constant and the coefficients of the metric are taken as A(t)=[c1t+c<su...

Precision cosmology in muddy waters: cosmological constraints and N-body codes

Future large-scale structure surveys of the Universe will aim to constrain the cosmological model and the true nature of dark energy with unprecedented accuracy. In order for these surveys to achieve their designed goals, they will require predictions for the non-linear matter power spectrum to sub-percent accuracy. Through the use of a large ensemble of cosmological N-body simulations, we demo...
